Audio Noise Remover
Remove background noise from audio recordings for free. The AI runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.
Your files never leave your device. All processing happens locally in your browser.
What is Noise Remover?
Noise Remover is a free tool that cleans up audio recordings right in your browser. You don't need to create an account, install anything, or upload your files anywhere.
It works well for podcast recordings, Zoom calls, voiceovers, phone recordings, and anything else where background noise got in the way. The AI figures out which parts of your recording are speech and which are noise, then removes the noise while keeping voices clear.
Most online audio tools upload your files to a server. This one doesn't. The AI runs directly in your browser, so there's no upload wait, no privacy concerns, and it even works offline after the first visit.
Why Noise Remover?
Clean audio without the usual trade-offs.

How to remove background noise
Drop in a noisy recording, let the AI clean it up, and download the result. The whole thing happens in your browser.
Upload your recording
Drop any audio file into the tool. MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG, and M4A all work.
AI separates speech from noise
The AI listens to your recording and separates speech from background noise. Works on fan hum, traffic, keyboard clicks, echo, and more.
Compare and download
Listen to the before and after. If it sounds good, download the cleaned WAV file. Processing usually takes less time than the recording itself.
Types of noise we remove
The AI handles different kinds of background noise, from constant hums to sudden clicks.
Wind Noise
Outdoor gusts, breath hitting the mic, and that low rumble you get from air blowing across the capsule.
Hum & Buzzing
Electrical hum, air conditioning drone, computer fan noise, and constant hiss.
Static & Hiss
Constant static, tape hiss, equipment noise, and high-frequency sizzle from sensitive recordings.
Echo & Reverb
Room reflections that make recordings sound hollow or distant. Common in large or hard-surfaced rooms.
Background Chatter
Conversations from cafes, offices, and public spaces. Isolates the main speaker from competing voices.
Hiss & Sibilance
High-pitched hiss from analog gear, tape recordings, and noisy equipment.
Fan & AC Noise
Computer fans, air conditioning units, desk fans, and other mechanical humming sources.
Keyboard & Clicks
Mechanical keyboard clatter, mouse clicks, desk bumps, and sharp impact sounds.
Traffic & Street Noise
Cars passing, honking, sirens, construction, and the general rumble of being near a road.

Why does audio noise happen?
Every recording picks up sounds you didn't want. Air conditioners, passing traffic, keyboard taps, room echo. The quieter your voice relative to that background noise, the worse the recording sounds.
A recording in a quiet room sounds fine because your voice is much louder than any ambient noise. A phone recording in a coffee shop sounds bad because the background chatter is almost as loud as you are. Most people notice the difference immediately.
How older tools handle it
Traditional noise reduction tools listen to the quiet parts of your recording to figure out what the noise sounds like, then try to subtract it. This works okay for constant sounds like hiss, but it struggles with noise that changes (like a barking dog or passing car) and can make voices sound metallic or robotic if you push it too hard.
How AI does it differently
Instead of subtracting noise, the AI predicts what the clean speech should sound like at every moment. It reconstructs your voice and discards everything else. This produces more natural results, especially on recordings where the noise keeps changing or where the voice is hard to hear over the background.
Privacy
The AI model runs in your browser. Your audio never gets uploaded anywhere. There's no account, no data collection, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
The model itself is about 8 MB and downloads once on your first visit. After that, your browser caches it so it loads instantly next time. It also works offline once the model is cached.
